It’s
double the fun and masti as Sony YAY!, the destination of unlimited happiness
for kids, turns two, this summer! With a slew of summer activities lined up,
the channel with its kids-centric, home-grown content is all set to give
youngsters a double dose of everything that they love.

Sony
YAY! kick-started its summer activities with their birthday bash, courtesy the
‘YAY! Day My Day!’ campaign on-air. With an objective to celebrate their 2nd
birthday, the channel gifted its young audiences a unique chance to decide the
content line-up for their favourite channel. The Idea was to let kids take over
the channel for a day, and let them watch the shows of their choice. Young fans
simply had to vote for their favourite toons via the Sony LIV app (

Sony
YAY! launched in 2017 with almost 95 hours of content. With kids wanting to
watch more of their favourite toons, the channel with a bank of over 300 hours
of content will be giving them a double fun-dose this summer as it readies
itself to release over 100 hours of fresh content this year. Kids will be
treated to brand new episodes of the coolest kid in town and his gadget-filled
supercar – Kicko & Super Speedo. Not just that, the boy with the coolest

ALTBalaji’s latest offering Baarish- When you are in mood

monsoon romance back in this summer heat. Seeking the quintessential love saga,

Anuj (Sharman) and Gauravi (Asha) is defined by their responsibilities towards
their respective families. The narrative between a Gujarati diamond merchant
and a simple Marathi Mulgi entails the challenging journey of love and respect.
As society continues to keep its prying eyes on any couple, the situation makes
it more difficult for Gauravi working under Anuj as his employee. With their
family being of utmost importance to the two, sacrifices and decisions by them lead
to the pair getting married and their fate being decided. The series shows how

Celebs Unveil Padmashree Mahendra Kapoor Chowk
Padma Shri recipient and legendary playback singer Mahendra Kapoor was recently honoured posthumously with a ‘Chowk’ to his name at the Junction of Turner Road & St. Martins Road, Bandra West. Unveiled at the hands of Jeetendra, Suresh Wadkar, Johnny Lever, Udit Narayan, Madhushree, Anil Deshmukh, Dr.Pai among other such dignitaries, in the presence of Praveen Kapoor, Ruhan Mahendra Kapoor, Neerja Ruhan Kapoor and Sidhant Kapoor, the Padma Shri awardee’s wife, son, daughter-in-law and grandson respectively. Tiger Shroff, Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria — the lead trio of Punit Malhotra’s Student Of The Year 2 (SOTY2) — are back in a desi avatar. The youngsters will be seen in a cool new sangeet song, titled Mumbai Dilli Di Kudiya, which launches today.
Director Punit said “The previous film had Dafli Waley, we have Yeh Jawaani. They had Radha Teri Chunri, we have Mumbai Dilli Di Kudiya. Of course, the music of the films are in tune with their respective stories, but this song is in that space. It’s a young sangeet number. Tiger is a great dancer, and he gives every performance his all. So, we had to up the ante as far as the dance is concerned.”
The pressure of recreating the magic is immense, admits the director. “The songs of the original film really worked. So, yes, the pressure to recreate that magic is there. But we had so much fun shooting this film, and I feel that it shows and translates on screen,” he added.
